We operate at the intersection of rigorous credit research and cutting-edge AI tooling - and building the platform that will define how institutional investors engage with credit data.
ABOUT THE ROLEYou will be one of the first engineers at the firm, with broad ownership over our data platform. This is a full-stack data engineering role with meaningful exposure to quantitative investment workflows and direct collaboration with the founder.If you are excited by the idea of building foundational systems in a domain where data is complex, messy, and genuinely underexplored - this role is for you.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD• Robust data pipelines ingesting large structured and unstructured datasets — loan-level tapes, market data feeds, CLO trustee reports — with strong validation, deduplication, lineage tracking, and error handling• Scalable ETL/ELT workflows and cloud data architecture on AWS or GCP, including compute, storage, orchestration, and monitoring• LLM-powered extraction and analysis of unstructured credit documents - offering memoranda, trustee reports, rating agency outputs - turning docs into structured data.• Clean, versioned APIs exposing data to downstream consumers including quant models and front-end analytics tools• Production-quality dashboards and analytics interfaces for the investment team and, ultimately, our institutional client base
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering; exceptional candidates at any level considered• Strong system design experience and Python/SQL skills; comfort working across the full data stack from ingestion to visualization• Experience building data pipelines and production applications at scale• Fluent in AI-augmented development workflows - we use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools as standard parts of our workflow• Exposure to financial data or vendors (Bloomberg, Intex, loan tapes) a plus• Familiarity with fixed income or credit markets preferred; curiosity about structured credit is more important than existing expertise• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field, MS preferred
