AI Field Engineer – Enterprise
📍 Location: San Mateo, CA / New York, NY💼 Employment Type: Full-time🏢 Work Mode: Hybrid (US-based, Remote-Friendly)💰 Compensation: $176K - $224K Base | OTE: $220K - $280K📅 Experience: 3+ Years
About the RoleWe are seeking an AI Field Engineer (Enterprise) to partner with enterprise customers and help turn complex Generative AI use cases into production-ready solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with customer-facing leadership, guiding projects from technical discovery through production deployment.
Key Responsibilities• Lead technical discovery sessions, scope proof-of-concepts (POCs), and conduct load testing and evaluations.• Build end-to-end POCs and production integrations within customer environments.• Guide customers on model selection, LLM fine-tuning strategies (SFT, DPO, RFT), and deployment best practices.• Work closely with technical and executive stakeholders to drive successful AI implementations.• Provide product feedback based on customer deployments and real-world use cases.
Required Qualifications• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML Field Engineering, Applied AI, Solutions Architecture, ML Engineering, or similar customer-facing roles.• Proven experience deploying AI/ML production solutions in customer environments.• Hands-on experience with LLM inference, open-model deployment, and fine-tuning workflows.• Experience leading the full customer lifecycle, including discovery, POCs, evaluations, and production deployment.• Background in AI infrastructure, MLOps, developer tooling, or enterprise AI solutions.
Technical Skills• Python• Kubernetes• vLLM• SGLang• TensorRT-LLM• LLM Fine-Tuning (SFT, DPO, RFT)• GPU Optimization• AWS, Azure, or GCP
Preferred Qualifications• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.• Experience working with enterprise stakeholders and navigating complex customer environments.• Comfortable presenting to both technical and business audiences.• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
