Work Location: In person
- Conducting detailed patient consultations, examinations, and assessments to diagnose illnesses and disorders
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Ordering and interpreting pathology, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Prescribing and managing treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Providing preventative healthcare advice, including guidance on diet, exercise, and lifestyle
- Referring patients to specialists and liaising with other healthcare professionals as required
- Managing chronic disease care, mental health treatment plans, and general health checks
- Reporting births, deaths, and notifiable diseases in accordance with legal and professional obligations
- Arranging hospital admissions where necessary
- Diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of physical and mental health conditions in line with current clinical standards
Skills and Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- Current AHPRA registration
- Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM, or actively working towards Fellowship
- Demonstrated clinical experience in general practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-focused care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
