- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record keeping
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial forecasting to support organisational decision-making
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on accounting procedures and best practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential
- Strong understanding of financial services, financial management, and accounting principles
- Experience with financial accounting processes including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proven ability to mentor or train colleagues in accounting practices
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and report preparation
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external auditors
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or processes within a fast-paced environment
