We're looking for an experienced Enrolled Nurse who's ready to step into a hybrid clinical and service management role. The RoleThis is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on clinical nursing with operational leadership. You'll split your time between direct clinical work and service coordination, managing both participant wellbeing and team operations. Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct clinical nursing care to participants with complex presentations
  • Conduct clinical assessments, risk monitoring, and health coordination
  • Develop and maintain clinical documentation, support plans, and behaviour support plans
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatry, psychology, speech pathology, allied health)
  • Manage medication administration, health monitoring, and incident response
  • Support behaviour support implementation and de-escalation strategies
  • Contribute to clinical governance and practice standards

Service Management Responsibilities:
  • Oversee participant support coordination and service delivery
  • Manage incident reporting, WHS compliance, and NDIS documentation
  • Lead staff briefings, training, and performance support
  • Liaise with NDIS, OPG, QCAT, and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate care transitions, transition planning, and accommodation changes
  • Develop service agreements and support documentation
  • Manage escalations and complex stakeholder communication
  • Contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For
  • Current Enrolled Nurse registration (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2-3 years clinical nursing experience in disability, mental health, or complex care settings
  • Service leadership interest - you're ready to move beyond direct care into coordination and management
  • NDIS sector knowledge - familiarity with funding, compliance, and NDIS practice standards
  • Strong WHS and safeguarding mindset - you understand risk, incident response, and duty of care
  • Excellent communication - you can talk to staff, families, OPG representatives, and clinical teams with equal ease
  • Flexibility and resilience - you're comfortable with clinical complexity and operational demands
  • Evidence-based approach - you think critically about outcomes, prevention, and best practice
  • Willingness to get hands-on - you don't step away from clinical work; you lead by example

Desirable:
  • Disability support experience (NDIS, SIL, SDA)
  • Behaviour support or mental health focus
  • Previous service coordination or team leadership experience
  • Familiarity with restrictive practice frameworks
  • Experience with QCAT or OPG involvement

What We Offer
  • Meaningful work in a clinically-led, participant-centered culture
  • Career development - clear pathway to senior leadership roles
  • Clinical autonomy - your nursing judgment matters here
  • Supportive team - you'll work alongside experienced clinicians and management
  • Professional development – training, mentorship, and conference attendance supported
  • Competitive remuneration - commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Flexible arrangements - we work with you on hours and location balance
  • Brisbane-based with potential for occasional regional coordination
