Every member of our University is part of the inspiring, supportive, and caring community known as Team Teesside. eesside University is seeking a Research Technician to support delivery of the EPSRC‑funded MECRETE project, which is developing low‑carbon mechano‑chemical recycling technologies for mineral and construction wastes. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of laboratory and pilot‑scale experimentation, supporting cutting‑edge research with strong industrial engagement.
The postholder will play a senior technical role within the project, supporting the operation and maintenance of specialist laboratory and pilot‑scale equipment, delivering high‑quality experimental testing, and ensuring safe, efficient and reliable laboratory operations. Working closely with Research Associates, academic staff and industrial partners, the role will contribute directly to experimental delivery, demonstrator trials and project milestones.
Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
