Job DescriptionBathurst Resources NZ is seeking a skilled Mine Electrician to join our maintenance team across key mining operations, including Stockton, Rotowaro, and Maramarua. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within a high-risk coal mining environment. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair fixed plant electrical systems, including conveyors, crushers, and coal processing equipmentPerform fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on industrial electrical systemsCarry out planned preventative maintenance and scheduled inspectionsWork with PLCs, motors, VSDs, and industrial control systemsSupport shutdowns, breakdown response, and major maintenance activitiesRead and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawingsWork collaboratively with mechanical and maintenance teamsComplete isolation procedures and apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) safelyEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards Work EnvironmentOpen-cut coal mining operations across rotating sitesShift-based roster, including extended shifts (often 11+ hours)Exposure to heavy industrial equipment and outdoor conditionsStrong focus on safety-critical procedures and compliance Skills and RequirementsEWRB Electrical Registration (Registered Electrician – New Zealand)Proven experience in industrial, mining, or heavy electrical maintenanceStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of PLC systems, motors, and control circuitsAbility to work safely in high-risk environmentsHV switching certification is advantageousExperience with fixed plant or heavy industrial systems preferredPay: From $6,500.00 per monthBenefits:
