Paediatrician Staff Specialist

Consultant Paediatrician | Major Cross-Border Regional Health Service | VIC/NSW
The Opportunity
We are working closely with one of the largest regional health services between Sydney and Melbourne and are keen to connect with FRACP-qualified Paediatricians interested in full-time opportunities within a well-established and expanding paediatric service.
The department delivers comprehensive inpatient, newborn and outpatient paediatric care across a broad regional catchment. Consultants practise within a structured, consultant-led model with strong multidisciplinary support.
This role will appeal to Paediatricians seeking scale, stability and the opportunity to practise within a substantial regional referral centre.
The Hospital & Paediatric Services
This is the principal referral health service for a cross-border population of approximately 250,000 people.
Paediatric services include:

• General inpatient paediatrics
• Special Care Nursery support
• Newborn care integrated with maternity services
• Emergency Department paediatric presentations
• Regional referral and outreach responsibilities
• Close integration with ICU, Anaesthetics and Obstetrics

The service is undergoing major redevelopment, including expansion of Emergency and short-stay facilities, strengthening overall paediatric and acute care capability.

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP – Paediatrics)
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
• International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
