Job DescriptionThe Portfolio Manager oversees one or more hedge fund strategies and is the main decision-maker for portfolio construction and trade execution. The role typically includes researching investment opportunities, setting strategy, monitoring exposures, and adjusting positions based on market conditions. In many hedge funds, the PM also works with analysts, traders, and risk teams, and may help communicate performance and strategy to stakeholders. Core Responsibilities
Required ExperienceThis role is usually not entry-level and often requires several years of relevant buy-side or sell-side experience. Employers often look for strong analytical skills, deep market knowledge, and a track record of sound investment judgment.
