Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction and engineering projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while ensuring full compliance with statutory and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for developing detailed project budgets and programmes based on client requirements and technical specifications, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The role involves coordinating and briefing internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication of project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
  • The candidate will plan and manage work schedules in collaboration with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors, ensuring efficient sequencing of activities and optimal resource allocation.
  • They will oversee site operations, including supervision of site staff, establishment of temporary site facilities, and management of material deliveries to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Regular inspection and monitoring of project progress and workmanship quality will be required, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, health and safety standards, and design specifications.
  • The Project Manager will identify defects, non-conformities, and risks, implementing corrective actions promptly to maintain project quality and performance.
  • They will maintain accurate project records, monitor performance metrics, and produce regular progress reports for internal management and clients.
  • The role includes ensuring that all equipment, installations, and systems meet operational requirements, design criteria, and safety standards.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for preparing documentation for project close-out, including final accounts, invoicing support, and handover reports.

Where applicable, the role may involve assessing external impacts such as logistics, access, and traffic considerations, and contributing to mitigation strategies. RequirementsA degree in Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience is required.Proven experience in managing construction and/or engineering projects, preferably within building services, refurbishment, or M&E environments.Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, contract administration, and site management practices.Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Good understanding of UK construction regulations, health & safety standards, and quality compliance requirements. PreferredExperience in refurbishment and healthcare or commercial projects.Familiarity with planning tools and project reporting systems.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £37,963.21-£55,127.48 per yearBenefits:
