Pastry Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will support food production and preparation processes within a busy kitchen environment. The Assistant will work closely with chefs and staffs to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to the creation of delicious bakeries. Duties

• Assist in preparations and assembling ingredients for various bakeries
• Support baking activities under the supervision of senior staff
• Help with baking tasks, ensuring adherence to recipes and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
• Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Support stock rotation and inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues

Experience

• Previous experience in bakery production or preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, baking, and culinary practices is advantageous
• Experience working in a bakery industry or similar food service environment is preferred
• Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is beneficial
• Enthusiasm for learning about culinary arts and developing new skills within a professional kitchen setting
