- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and prescriptions
- Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient consultations when required
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient files accordingly
- Ensure the correct storage, labelling, and handling of pharmaceutical products
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders for replenishment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare environment is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
