Company DescriptionApplix is the creator of the manufacturing industry’s only Manufacturing Operating System (mOS), built to automate, control, and scale modern industrial operations. Focused on the “Triple Zero” vision—zero defects, zero waste, and zero delay—Applix combines industrial AI, embedded systems, and engineering expertise to transform how machines are designed, tested, and operated.
We work closely with leading OEMs across heavy equipment, automotive, aerospace, and industrial systems—solving real-world engineering problems at the intersection of hardware, data, and software.
Role DescriptionApplix is hiring multiple Electrical Wiring Harness Design / Lab Support Engineers for full-time, on-site roles across Tucson, AZ; Peoria, IL; Decatur, IL; and Hyderabad, India.
This is a hands-on engineering role for individuals who prefer working close to machines, prototypes, and real-world systems—not just behind a desk. You will be responsible for wiring harness design using Creo, while also supporting instrumentation, data acquisition, and system-level testing across lab, shop, plant, and field environments.
You will work directly with engineers, technicians, and operators to design, build, instrument, test, and troubleshoot machine systems during new product introduction (NPI), validation, and production support phases.
Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience in electrical wiring harness design, preferably using Creo
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, connectors, sensors, and harness architectures
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test setups in lab or field environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring, signal integrity, sensor behavior, and machine-level issues
  • Experience supporting NPI, prototype builds, validation, or manufacturing programs
  • Comfort working in lab, shop floor, plant, or field environments with real hardware
  • Familiarity with tools such as eDAQ, TCE, DewesoftX, DatK, or similar data acquisition platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams
  • Experience in Heavy Machinery industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

Nice to Have
  • Experience in heavy equipment, off-highway, automotive, aerospace, or industrial systems
  • Familiarity with CAN/J1939, telematics, embedded systems, or machine electrical architecture
  • Experience with tools such as CANalyzer, ET, Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to structured lab testing environments or ISO 17025 processes
