Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble components from specifications and engineering drawings
  • Operate a range of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
  • Perform high-quality welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and shape components to specification
  • Inspect and measure work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Carry out repairs, modifications, and custom fabrication work
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with WHS standards
  • Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

The Essentials
  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker – OR – solid welding experience (second-class welders are strongly encouraged to apply)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a fabricator/welder or boilermaker
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Understanding of different materials and their applications in fabrication
  • Proficient in the safe use of fabrication tools, machinery, and welding equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
