Live-in Carer

Self-employed Care giver, living in the client's home 1 week on and 1 week off (length of stay can vary) Must hold full UK licence and have access to a own car We have a number of clients that are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers, to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. Most of our clients live in Yorkshire, so living nearby or a willing to commute to Yorkshire is essential.As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about patient care and have experience in home care settings. Duties

• Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Support clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Provide nutritious, tasty meals in line with client's tastes.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals and Registered Manager.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care or home care
• Experience of dementia care practices is essential
• Ability to use hoists as required by client needs
• Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Full UK driving licence holder and access to own car (our clients will often live in remote locations so having own car is important)
