Fishing Pty Ltd is a leading commercial fishing operation based in Corner Inlet, committed to sustainable practices and high-quality catch. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deckhand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in high-pressure, commercial maritime environments. - Fishing Operations: hauling nets
- Catch Processing: Sorting, cleaning,icing bins, and refrigerating catch to maintain high quality.
- Vessel Maintenance: Routine maintenance of deck equipment and safety appliances. Maintaining a clean vessel
- Safety & Operations: handling rope/net, and operating mooring equipment during berthing.
Minimum Requirements (Essential):
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent, full-time, relevant Australian experience as a deckhand or fishing hand, evidenced by a signed sea-time logbook.
- Certifications: Must hold safety and rescue certificates compliant with the International Convention on Standards, Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978 (STCW).
- First Aid: Valid First Aid certificate (awarded within the last 12 months).
- English Proficiency: IELTS overall score of 4.5+ (or equivalent) for 482 visa (for international candidates).
