- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and infrastructure using hand tools and power tools
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across fields
- Conduct general farm maintenance including repairing fences, clearing debris, and maintaining pathways
- Support heavy lifting tasks related to loading and unloading supplies or harvested crops
- Monitor crop health and report any pest or disease issues to supervisors
- Follow safety protocols during all farm activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in horticulture, irrigation, or farm maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with farm machinery and power tools are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
