For more than 30 years, Wedgerwood Joinery has been supplying all forms of premium bespoke joinery to clients across the Central Otago and Southern Lakes areas. With a recent resignation, we are seeking a suitably qualified joinery superstar to join our team in Alexandra – what New Zealand used to be like and where living is more affordable! Applicants need to either be trade qualified with a minimum of kitchen cabinetry OR have three years proven joinery experience. To succeed in this this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following: *A strong work ethic with excellent time management *Be fluent in Microvellum woodworking software *Effective communication skills and be able to deal with customers, architects and designers *Ability to plan and problem solve *Project co-ordination with builders, suppliers and sub-contractors Key tasks: *Read and interpret technical drawings and documents *Load drawings and designs into Microvellum software to generate workshop drawings and material reports *Plan, manage and resolve issues throughout the project to ensure delivery on time *Communicate well with the management team and customers If you display a positive attitude towards tasks and you consistently take pride in producing quality products in a timely manner then you could be the applicant we are seeking. Being in the heart of the amazing Central Otago District; working 40-44 hours during the week, leaves you ample time to enjoy all the area has to offer! Pay is $40.00 per hour for the right applicant. We are an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) employer – so we can support the right international candidates/ workers into permanent employment here in New Zealand.
