As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including compounding when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Provide information and advice to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical practices.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology.
- ProScript knowledge required
