CNC Turner / Turn-Mill Machinist – DMG MORI NLX | CELOS | Mastercam Advanced CNC Turning, Y-Axis Milling & Multi-Tasking Machining Medina Engineering Pty Ltd – Chipping Norton, Sydney NSWMedina Engineering is a well-established Australian precision engineering company operating for over 50 years, servicing industries including mining, rail, defence, power generation, steel and heavy industry.We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner / Turn-Mill Machinist to join our growing team working on advanced CNC lathes including DMG MORI NLX machines with CELOS control systems, live tooling, C-axis and Y-axis milling capabilities.This is not repetitive production work — we are a true jobbing workshop manufacturing high-precision custom components, prototypes and small-batch work across a wide range of industries. The RoleYou will be responsible for:· Programming, setting and operating CNC turning centres· Working with live tooling, C-axis and Y-axis milling functions· Editing and optimising programs at the machine· Producing precision one-off and small-batch components· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings· Selecting tooling, setting offsets and performing quality checks· Working closely with programmers, machinists and supervisors to solve technical challenges Machines & SystemsExperience with some or all of the following is highly regarded:· DMG MORI NLX Series· CELOS / FANUC controls· CNC Turn-Mill Centres· Mastercam CAD/CAM· Live tooling and driven tooling applications· Multi-axis machining environments About YouTo be successful you will ideally have:· Trade qualification in Engineering / CNC Machining· Experience in CNC turning and turn-mill machining· Strong setup and programming capability· Confidence working independently from drawings· Experience with C-axis and Y-axis machining· High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship· A proactive and reliable attitude· Experience in a jobbing workshop environment highly regarded What We Offer· Modern advanced CNC equipment and tooling· Variety of interesting and technical work· Stable long-term employment with a respected family-owned company· Excellent pay based on experience and capability· Overtime opportunities available· Supportive workshop culture with experienced tradespeople· Opportunities to expand skills across multiple machines and processes· ISO 9001 certified quality environment· Mastercam Training· Immediate start available for the right applicantIf you take pride in your machining skills and enjoy challenging, varied work using advanced CNC technology, we would like to hear from you.Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
