At DORC, your work directly impacts one of the most delicate and meaningful areas of medicine: restoring sight. Due to the continued growth of our activities and the expansion of our product portfolio, DORC is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer (Liquids) to strengthen our QA team. In this role, you will play a key part in further developing and professionalising our quality organisation within a fast-growing and innovative environment. In this senior and business-critical position, you will ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products and medical devices. The primary focus of this role is on medical devices and full MDR compliance. Therefore, we are specifically looking for a candidate with a strong background in the medical device industry and experience with relevant regulations and quality systems Tasks & responsibilities: As Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and further developing our quality processes. You combine tactical oversight with a hands-on mindset and are actively involved in both operational QA activities and improvement projects. Your responsibilities include:
  • Taking ownership of MDR compliance within our medical device activities
  • Initiating and supporting improvement projects within the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Acting as a trusted QA expert within the organisation and towards external partners and authorities
  • Supporting daily QA operations and addressing operational quality-related challenges
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to further embed quality excellence throughout the organisation
  • Supporting a growing and increasingly diverse product portfolio
  • You will work in a small and dedicated team where independence, ownership, and accountability are highly valued.

Skills and knowledge:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Proven experience within Quality Assurance
  • A strong background within the medical device industry
  • Experience with MDR, ISO 13485, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • A proactive, independent, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
