Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated, organised, and experienced Care Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our care services. This role may qualify for UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for eligible international candidates.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing staff performance, and driving continuous service improvement. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills to ensure excellent outcomes for service users and support the growth of the organisation.Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the care service and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care
  • Supervise, support, and coordinate care staff, team leaders, and senior carers
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, company policies, and relevant legislation
  • Monitor care quality, service performance, and operational efficiency through regular audits and reviews
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, incident management, and service user documentation
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, induction, training, and staff development
  • Maintain effective communication with service users, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and external stakeholders
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and implement service improvement plans
  • Assist with budget management, resource allocation, and operational reporting
  • Promote a positive, professional, and compassionate culture focused on delivering outstanding care

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Social Care, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards completion)
  • Previous experience in a Care Manager, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, or similar leadership role within the care sector
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant healthcare legislation
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced care environment
  • Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Lead and manage the care team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure effective service delivery

  • Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational policies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards
  • Coordinate staff training programmes to maintain high standards of care and promote continuous professional development
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing, behaviour, and progress, adjusting care strategies as necessary
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Manage administrative duties such as record keeping, reporting incidents, and ensuring documentation accuracy

Requirements
  • Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes
  • Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with supervising experience
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and medication administration protocols
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering person-centred care
  • Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management recognised within the UK healthcare sector
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for care homes and home care services
