- Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Supervise food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality of all dishes served.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper equipment usage.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Skills
- Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
