- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing menu items
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain food quality, presentation standards, and portion control
- Oversee stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials
- Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen workflow and service efficiency
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Experience supervising staff or leading sections during service
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly regarded)
