Work Location: In person
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that supports children's physical and emotional needs.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Observe and record children's progress, behaviours, and developmental milestones to inform future planning.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies.
- Assist with organising outings, events, and special activities that enhance the children's learning experiences.
- Support colleagues in managing behavioural challenges with patience and professionalism.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare setting.
- Experience working with children in nurseries or early childhood education environments.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to demonstrate childcare expertise with a focus on child safety and development.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
- Compassionate approach with the ability to foster positive relationships with children and families.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
