Cook/Chef

Number 8 Wire Restaurant is a busy and growing restaurant in the heart of Rotorua, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, and premium grill dishes. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional kitchen environment and takes pride in food quality, consistency, and teamwork.What We Offer

Key Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking
• Assisting with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
• Portion control and stock rotation
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Kitchen cleaning and closing duties
• Working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year relevant cooking experience
• Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Experience with grill, prep, and service operations is preferred
