We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager with a strong background in Production & Operations Management, Quality Systems, R&D, and Training & Workforce Development to oversee and coordinate our blast and paint operations. The role involves managing all aspects of production, from scheduling and resource planning to quality compliance and safety, while driving innovation and team development. The successful candidate will lead a team of tradespeople to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: · Manage end-to-end production operations, including production planning, scheduling, workflow optimisation, resource allocation, staff supervision, and cost control. · Implement and maintain quality systems, applying relevant standards to ensure compliance and support audits and regulatory approvals. · Participate in research, development, and innovation projects, assisting the efficient transfer of new products, machinery, and processes from concept to commercial production. · Develop and deliver training programs, implement standard operating procedures, and mentor production staff to enhance workforce performance and compliance with quality standards. · Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery. · Monitor production metrics, costs, and resource usage, implementing continuous improvement initiatives. · Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of production performance. Skills and Experience Required: · Minimum 3 years’ experience in production management or supervisory roles · Strong expertise in production operations, workflow optimisation, and staff leadership. · Skilled in quality systems, regulatory affairs, and compliance. · Experience in research, development, and innovation to support process and product improvements. · Proven ability to develop, mentor, and train teams to achieve performance and compliance objectives. · Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production schedules. · Sound knowledge of WHS and environmental regulations. Qualifications: · Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred. · Additional certifications or training in quality systems, ISO standards, or lean manufacturing highly regarded.
