Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our independent community pharmacy team at Ipswich Road Pharmacy, Norwich.The role involves ensuring the safe and effective supply of medicines, delivering NHS and private pharmacy services, and supporting high standards of patient care.This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who wants to work in a supportive, forward-thinking community pharmacy environment with a growing focus on clinical service development.Independent Prescribing qualification is highly desirable, particularly as community pharmacy services continue to expand, but it is not essential for the right candidate. Newly qualified pharmacists are also welcome to apply.Skilled Worker visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate who meets UKVI eligibility requirements. Duties

Work Location: In person
- Ensure the safe, effective and legal supply of medicines in accordance with GPhC and NHS standards.
- Dispense, clinically check and supervise prescription medicines accurately and safely.
- Deliver NHS pharmacy services including Pharmacy First, New Medicine Service (NMS), blood pressure checks, Pharmacy Contraception Service and flu vaccinations.
- Provide professional advice and counselling to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Supervise, support and develop pharmacy support staff.
- Maintain accurate dispensing, clinical and service records in line with SOPs.
- Support the development of NHS and private pharmacy services, including future prescribing-led services where appropriate.
- Help maintain high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, compliance and customer care.
Experience
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist, or candidate awaiting GPhC registration by start date.
- Independent Prescriber qualification is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Previous community pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.
- Newly qualified pharmacists are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in delivering NHS and private clinical services.
- Excellent communication and counselling skills.
- Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to accuracy and patient safety.
- For candidates who are not currently Independent Prescribers, support for future development may be considered subject to business needs, course availability, eligibility and an agreed training plan.
