Plasterer (Wall and decorative)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in masonry, carpentry, or related trades to develop their skills within a professional environment. The successful applicant will work on various building sites, contributing to the realisation of both residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering.
• Mix and apply plaster using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to achieve smooth finishes.
• Repair or replace damaged surfaces, including brickwork and masonry elements, as required.
• Use bricklaying techniques where necessary to support plastering tasks.
• Operate a range of tools including trowels, hawks, mixers, and other hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with team members such as masons, carpenters, and roofers to ensure seamless project progression.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all phases of work.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering or related trades such as masonry or carpentry is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for plastering tasks.
• Knowledge of bricklaying, roofing, welding, and general masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
• Relevant health and safety certifications are desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate. Experience:
- Proven experience as Plasterer or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tile placement
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity- Operative to be hard working, Reliable and Trustworthy.- CSCS Card Holder.- Hold a full UK Driving Licence- Clean and tidy work adhering to all safety requirements and regulations.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractPay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per yearBenefits:
