- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults
- Perform repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
- Replace worn or damaged parts with precision and attention to detail
- Carry out heavy lifting when handling vehicle components or parts requiring extra effort
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist in the general upkeep of the workshop environment, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with previous experience in vehicle maintenance or repair preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are advantageous but not essential
