OverviewEndocrinologistPrime Healthcare – Central Maine Medical CenterLewiston, Maine Position OverviewPrime Healthcare and Central Maine Medical Center are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Endocrinologist to join a growing program in Lewiston. This opportunity offers the ability to practice within a collaborative, physician-focused environment while serving a broad regional patient population across central Maine. Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. ResponsibilitiesUnder indirect supervision, the Physician provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice and/or for a specified patient population.

- Diagnose and manage common endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, and metabolic conditions
- Provide outpatient clinic care
- Develop and implement treatment plans focused on long-term disease management
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists
- Educate patients on lifestyle modification, medication management, and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree, with completion of an accredited Endocrinology fellowship.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- J1/H-1B visa candidates accepted.
