Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialise in traditional tandoori cooking, bringing authentic flavours and exceptional food quality to our restaurant. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with experience in Indian cuisine, particularly tandoor techniques, to showcase their skills in a vibrant and dynamic environment. The Tandoor Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of tandoori dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.We can provide visa sponsorship on request for the right candidate. Duties
  • Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, ensuring authentic flavour and presentation.
  • Manage the entire process of food preparation from marinating to grilling in the tandoor oven.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
  • Assist with meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to customers.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients required for tandoori cooking and communicate needs to the management team.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service hours.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
  • Serve dishes to customers when required, providing excellent customer service and culinary expertise.
  • Willingness to upskill in various other kitchen domains like curry and fried starters

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to Indian cuisine, especially tandoori methods.
  • Experience in meal preparation, food safety practices, and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in establishments specialising in Indian or Asian cuisine.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role. This position offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals eager to develop their skills further while delivering authentic Indian dishes that delight our guests.
