Your Profile & DNA:We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Modeller to lead enterprise data modeling, governance, and data product design initiatives across modern cloud-based data platforms. The role focuses on designing scalable and governed data models, enabling data product standardization, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesData Modeling & Architecture

• Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling activities across enterprise domains.
• Define and maintain modeling standards, naming conventions, and versioning practices.
• Establish domain boundaries, core entities, master/reference data structures, and authoritative systems for each subject area.
• Produce model-to-contract mappings for data products, APIs, and ODS tables.
• Design reusable and scalable data structures aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

Governance, Glossary & Lineage

• Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to secure approvals for data definitions, business rules, and change management processes.
• Participate in governance forums and recurring governance cadences.
• Ensure business glossary completeness and lineage documentation using Dataplex and Data Catalog standards.
• Maintain traceability of design decisions and metadata across domains.

Privacy, Security & Compliance

• Apply CIAA-based data classification (Confidentiality, Integrity, Accountability, Availability) at attribute level.
• Identify and classify PII and sensitive data elements.
• Define masking and pseudonymization requirements for non-production environments and role-based masking for production systems.
• Embed data-sharing principles and data contract standards into model deliverables.

ODS Platform Alignment (GCP)

• Design BigQuery physical data models, including partitioning strategies, clustering keys, constraints, and table/view structures to support near real-time ODS requirements.
• Align with platform engineering teams on Dataplex and Data Catalog standards for domains, zones, and metadata harvesting.
• Ensure models support scalability, performance, and operational efficiency within GCP environments.

Data Quality & Observability

• Translate business requirements and rules into data quality checks and acceptance criteria.
• Support implementation of data quality validations within source and ELT layers.
• Contribute to data quality dashboards, monitoring frameworks, and DQ backlog management.

Data Productization & API Enablement

• Design reusable, governed data products with clearly defined SLAs, SLOs, service boundaries, and data contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering and API teams to standardize data access endpoints and integration patterns.
• Support scalable and interoperable data-sharing frameworks.

Collaboration & Ways of Working

• Facilitate data modeling workshops, steward reviews, and cross-domain architecture sessions.
• Document architecture decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and traceability artifacts.
• Work closely with business, governance, engineering, and platform teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Expertise in enterprise data governance, metadata management, and lineage frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with GCP data services, especially BigQuery, Dataplex, and Data Catalog.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance principles.
• Experience implementing data quality and observability frameworks.
• Knowledge of data product architecture, APIs, and contract-driven design.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation capabilities.
• Experience in enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Familiarity with near real-time ODS and ELT/ETL frameworks.
• Understanding of master data management (MDM) and reference data practices.
• Exposure to agile delivery models and cross-functional product teams.
