Salaried General Practitioner - Presteigne Medical CentreSalary: £10,000pa - £13,000pa per session depending on experienceLocation: Presteigne Medical Centre, Lugg View, Presteigne ,Powys, LD8 2RJHours: Several sessions available Closing Date: 31st May 2026An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join the welcoming and well-established team at Presteigne Medical Centre, part of the Shropdoc family. This is more than a clinical role, it’s an opportunity to shape new models of rural primary care and make a real impact on local communities.The successful post-holder will work as a salaried GP providing primary care for approximately 3,600 patients. Presteigne is part of the Mid-Powys Primary Care Cluster, which has a combined list size of around 31,000 patients. Job responsibilities:

Work Location: In person
- Deliver high-quality clinical care via consultations, triage, and home visits.
- Manage long-term conditions and supervise clinical staff.
- Prescribe in line with local and national guidance.
- Contribute to audits, governance, and quality improvement.
- Mentor and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria:
- Full GMC Registration with License to Practice.
- Relevant higher degree ie: MRCGP or equivalent.
- On the GMC GP Register & Welsh Medical Performers List.
- Experience in NHS General Practice & Primary Care.
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, IT, and team-working skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and commit to on-call duties.
