- Provide personalised care and support to children and young adults, including those with autism and disabilities
- Assist with daily activities such as play, learning, and behavioural routines
- Implement tailored programmes to promote development and independence
- Support toddlers with age-appropriate activities and care routines
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent care
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages growth and confidence
- Maintain accurate records of progress and activities undertaken during shifts
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly advantageous
- Strong teaching abilities and the capacity to adapt approaches to meet individual needs
- Prior experience working with children or in toddler care is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with individuals of varying abilities
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioural management techniques
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting others’ development
- Ability to work flexibly within a team-oriented environment
