Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in the role of 'Hey'. This position involves supporting children and young adults, particularly those with autism or other disabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with individuals requiring specialised care, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Experience in teaching, working with children, or in special education is highly desirable. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised care and support to children and young adults, including those with autism and disabilities
  • Assist with daily activities such as play, learning, and behavioural routines
  • Implement tailored programmes to promote development and independence
  • Support toddlers with age-appropriate activities and care routines
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent care
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages growth and confidence
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and activities undertaken during shifts

Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly advantageous
  • Strong teaching abilities and the capacity to adapt approaches to meet individual needs
  • Prior experience working with children or in toddler care is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with individuals of varying abilities
  • Knowledge of special education practices and behavioural management techniques
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting others’ development
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team-oriented environment
