Consultant Paediatrician | Coastal Regional Referral Hospital | Queensland
The Opportunity
We are working closely with a substantial regional referral hospital in Queensland and are keen to connect with FRACP-qualified Paediatricians interested in full-time opportunities within an established and well-supported service.
The department delivers comprehensive general paediatric care across inpatient, emergency and newborn settings. Consultants are involved in acute paediatrics, Special Care Nursery support and outpatient services within a structured multidisciplinary environment.
This role will appeal to Paediatricians seeking clinical breadth, stability and the lifestyle advantages of coastal regional practice.
The Hospital & Paediatric Services
This is a major regional hospital serving a large coastal and rural catchment.
Paediatric services include:

• General inpatient paediatrics
• Special Care Nursery support
• Newborn care integrated with maternity services
• Emergency Department paediatric presentations
• Outpatient clinics and regional follow-up
• Close collaboration with Obstetrics, Anaesthetics and ICU

The hospital functions as the primary acute referral centre for the region and maintains a strong consultant-led model.

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP – Paediatrics)
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
• International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
