We are looking for an experienced general engineer to join our busy engineering workshop at 55 Springfield Road, Temuka. Millar Engineering has been operating for over 20 years with a steady client base. You'll be part of a long serving team working alongside the owner, and be keen to help with anything that needs to be done. The position is permanent and will require a wide range of skills including welding on transport, agricultural repairs and day to day maintenance, as well as civil construction projects for clients throughout the South Island. Experience should may include good mechanical and engineering knowledge, reading detailing drawings, and welding to a consistently high standard for inspection. You'll be motivated, hard working, independent, and have good time management skills. Minimum of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, normally over time of 7.5 hours is available, with Saturday mornings as required, with the rate offered determined by your skill level. Experience of at least 3 years is a must, with trade qualifications to NZQA Level 4 or the equivalent , and referee contacts to be provided with your CV. This is not an entry level position.
