- Medication Management: Safe administration, storage, and management of controlled drugs and complex medication regimes.
- Clinical Interventions: PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilation support, catheterisation, and wound management.
- Patient Care: Developing and updating person-centred care plans, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of residents with varying conditions.
- Team Leadership: Supporting and guiding HCAs (Health Care Assistants) on shift, ensuring clinical standards are maintained.
- Emergency Response: Acting swiftly on clinical deterioration, utilising strong anatomy and physiology knowledge to assess situations and liaise with GPs/out-of-hours services.
- Record Keeping: Accurate clear documentation (digital or paper) for continuity of care across the 8-to-8 shifts.
- Family Liaison: Updating families on changes in conditions and building trust.
What We Are Looking For
- Active NMC Pin (RGN or RMN considered).
- Strong clinical skills – you must be comfortable with complex care, not just general elderly care.
- Willingness to work a mix of day and night shifts (this is a firm requirement).
