About the role
We’re looking for a commercially minded Divisional Accountant/Business Analyst to join our growing team and play a key role in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the business.

This is more than a traditional accounting role. You’ll combine strong financial expertise with analytical thinking and business partnering to help leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, and deliver smarter business outcomes.

This is an immediate start position Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, and you will be required to travel to NSW for a minimum of 2 weeks for training purposes. Following the successful completion of your probationary period, you will be eligible for 2 days of work-from-home each week.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Preparing weekly reports and reconciliations, including gross margin and revenue analysis, while conducting weekly sales reporting.
  • Performing revenue and cost allocation to support accurate financial reporting
  • Performing month-end processes including prepayments, accruals, recharges and analysing data
  • Financial Accounting – preparation and analysis of monthly Profit & Loss statements including distribution to internal key stakeholders
  • Performing variance cost analysis to identify areas of improvement for discussion with internal key stakeholders
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • External audit liaison and preparation of audit work papers
  • Preparation of annual budgets
  • Other Ad-hoc duties

Skills and Experience
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure in the Construction industry
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
