Accuro Health Insurance is a New Zealand not-for-profit health insurer that provides private medical insurance plans for individuals, families, and employer groups.An Experienced Claims Assessor typically has 3–5+ years of claims handling experience and is trusted to manage complex or high-value claims with minimal supervision. Job description An experienced Claims Assessor is responsible for:

• Assessing complex insurance claims (motor, property, health, travel, life, or liability).
• Investigating claims by reviewing documents, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and obtaining expert reports.
• Interpreting insurance policies and determining coverage.
• Identifying fraudulent or suspicious claims and escalating where appropriate.
• Negotiating settlements with customers, repairers, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
• Making fair, timely claim decisions in line with legislation and company policies.
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed assessment reports.
• Mentoring junior claims staff and providing technical guidance.
• Meeting service, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.

Pay: $6,700.00 – $9,200.00 per monthBenefits:
