Consultant Haematologist | Regional Referral Centre | Victoria
The Opportunity
We are working closely with an established Haematology service within a major regional referral centre in Victoria and are keen to connect with FRACP Haematologists interested in a full-time role offering clinical breadth and service depth.
The position supports both malignant and non-malignant haematology, with strong integration into oncology, pathology and critical care services. The role includes inpatient consults, outpatient clinics and chemotherapy service involvement within a structured and collaborative environment.
This opportunity will appeal to Haematologists seeking regional practice with meaningful service capability and strong referral backing.
The Hospital
This is the primary regional health service for its catchment of approximately 150,000 people and has undergone significant redevelopment, strengthening inpatient, ICU and oncology infrastructure.
The Haematology service includes:
  • Inpatient and outpatient malignant haematology
  • Benign haematology services
  • Dedicated chemotherapy / oncology day unit
  • Bone marrow biopsy capability
  • Strong pathology and transfusion support
  • ICU on site
  • Multidisciplinary cancer care collaboration

The hospital maintains established referral pathways to Melbourne tertiary centres for stem cell transplant and highly specialised procedures.

Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Haematology
  • Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
  • International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
