OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, developing data-driven solutions, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced analytical tools and methodologies within a collaborative environment.The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in the retail domain, particularly in sales data analysis, product lifecycle management, and operational processes, alongside excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills. Duties
  • Analyse and interpret complex business requirements to develop comprehensive, data-driven solutions.
  • Work extensively within the retail domain, including sales data analysis, product lifecycle management, promotions, and product descoping activities.
  • Understand and support processes related to product attribute changes, barcode updates, and catalogue management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation across retail operations.
  • Manage projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain databases using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; utilise SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Create detailed process diagrams and documentation using Visio to facilitate cross-functional understanding.
  • Contribute to database design, optimisation, and management to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.
  • Support project management activities, including planning, progress tracking, risk identification, and reporting.
  • Analyse trends, patterns, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for operational and commercial improvements.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of business analysis principles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience within the retail sector, including sales processes, product lifecycle, promotions, and merchandising data.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Solid experience with SQL, database design, and optimisation techniques, including hands-on work with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).
  • Experience managing projects through SDLC methodologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively.
  • Experience in handling product data changes, including barcode updates and product attribute management, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of process modelling tools such as Visio is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Pay: £27,600.70-£50,000.00 per yearBenefits:
