About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional workshop team. The successful candidate will carry out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities  Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.  Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.  Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks.  Carry out engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and electrical repairs.  Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify faults.  Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and undertake repair work as required.  Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.  Follow manufacturer specifications and health and safety procedures. Essential Qualifications Applicants must possess one of the following:  NVQ Level 4 / IMI Level 4 / City & Guilds Level 4 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.  Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.  Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a closely related field.  Relevant workshop experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs. Desirable Qualifications  Master's Degree (MSc/MEng) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.  Full UK Driving Licence.  MOT Tester Certification.  IMI Level 4 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Qualification.  Manufacturer-accredited technical training.  Membership of a professional engineering body such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology.  Experience with advanced diagnostic and vehicle management systems. Skills and Competencies  Strong technical and diagnostic abilities.  Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.  Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.  Good communication and teamwork skills.  High attention to detail and commitment to quality.  Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
