About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional workshop team. The successful candidate will carry out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults. Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks. Carry out engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and electrical repairs. Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify faults. Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and undertake repair work as required. Complete job cards and service documentation accurately. Follow manufacturer specifications and health and safety procedures. Essential Qualifications Applicants must possess one of the following: NVQ Level 4 / IMI Level 4 / City & Guilds Level 4 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a closely related field. Relevant workshop experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs. Desirable Qualifications Master's Degree (MSc/MEng) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Full UK Driving Licence. MOT Tester Certification. IMI Level 4 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Qualification. Manufacturer-accredited technical training. Membership of a professional engineering body such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology. Experience with advanced diagnostic and vehicle management systems. Skills and Competencies Strong technical and diagnostic abilities. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings. Good communication and teamwork skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
