Key Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring of bird health, behaviour, and flock performance
- Managing feed, water, lighting, and environmental conditions
- Overseeing egg collection, handling, and quality assurance
- Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions
- Coordinating daily farm activities to maximise output and efficiency
- Monitoring key production metrics including egg numbers, fertility, hatchability, and mortality
- Ensuring compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare, and quality standards
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting farm staff
- Driving operational improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting breeding and long-term production strategies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in poultry, breeder, broiler, or livestock farm management
- Strong hands-on operational and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading and supervising teams in a farming environment
- Sound understanding of animal welfare and biosecurity practices
- Ability to work autonomously and manage farm performance outcomes
- Strong communication and organisational skills
