The Minister of Religion Scotland provides spiritual, pastoral, outreach, administrative, and servant leadership to the congregation of Salvation Ministries (Home of Success) (SMHOS) Scotland so the Church can fulfill its mission as Salt & Light of Christ on the earth and spread the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus all around Scotland. The Minister of Religion relates to and connects with multiple generations. Location is currently Aberdeen, but travel may be required from time to time. The Minister of Religion must be willing to be DBS checked as working with children may be required. Key Responsibilities:Providing Pastoral care to the congregation including but not limited to visitation, counselling, and prayer for members and prospective members.Providing Pastoral oversight of church members & staff, ensuring their spiritual health and growth.Maintaining the integrity of SMHOS Vision, Goals and Statement of Faith and communicating clearly and passionately SMHOS Vision, Goals and Statement of Faith to staff, volunteers, and the congregation and driving this in Scotland.Doing the work of evangelism and equipping people to preach the Gospel and making disciples of all Nations.Lead in planning special services, crusades and outreaches.Leading and inspiring, as a leader of leaders and recognizing gifts/skills ofstaff and volunteers ensuring their gifts/skills are effectively aligned to achieve the Vision.Planting expressions of SMHOS all over Scotland.Motivating and inspiring a multicultural healthy environment in the Church and amongst staff.Manages the staff, motivating them to achieve defined personal & group objectives.Focusing on members’ individual growth and development through ministries.Facilitating the process of listening and responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit at all times amongst the congregation, staff and volunteers.Representing SMHOS Scotland in denominational or community organizations/activities and discerning ways SMHOS Scotland can support and engage with its surrounding area.Oversee financial accountability and overall financial health of the church.Responsible for oversight of all administration of the church. Qualifications: Personal Qualities:Spiritually mature, Spirit-filled Believer with a track record of Christ-like behaviour and character and meets character qualifications of 1 Timothy and Titus 1:5-9.Addicted soul winnerPassion for God, His Church, and the local community (including churches of other denominations) with the ability to love people and build relationships with them.One devoted to Prayer and the Word.Effective collaborator; team player and team builder.Authentic, honest, transparent, and humble.Emotional and relational intelligence.Effective problem solver and ability to manage conflicts.Clear and effective communicator. Skills and Experience:Familiar with and embraces SMHOS values.3 years of professional ministry experience in leading a church with a history of faithful ministry service.SMHOS WOLBI Qualification (Basic)Familiar with how to grow a church and keep it healthy.Proven experience in conflict resolution, and people management.Team leadership skills with experience in a multi-national cultural environment.Good English language skills.Strategic thinking and execution in progressive development of a church or network of churches.No criminal record.
