- Carefully knead sourdough doughs according to specified recipes and standards
- Monitor dough consistency and texture throughout the kneading process
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP and food safety protocols during all stages of production
- Ensure all equipment used for kneading is clean, well-maintained, and functioning correctly
- Record batch details accurately, including weights, times, and any adjustments made
- Assist with other bakery tasks as required, supporting the overall production process
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP procedures
- Experience or interest in food production, particularly baking or artisan bread-making preferred
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating and maintaining kneading equipment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring ingredients and following recipes
- Basic maths skills for calculating weights, proportions, and adjustments during kneading processes
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or bakery environments is advantageous but not essential
