- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
- Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
- Prepare prescription labels and packaging, maintaining meticulous records of dispensed medicines
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with data protection regulations
- Ensure the pharmacy workspace is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors in dispensing
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy assistance or related field is preferred
