- Deliver complex dietetic care to inpatients, including oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition; manage a busy caseload.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, audits, projects and research.
- Attend and supervise student dietitians on clinical placement; support band 5 dietitians and dietetic support workers.
- Cover clinical workload of other dietitians during leave.
- Contribute to service developments, training other health professionals, and national awareness events (e.g., Nutrition & Hydration Week).

- Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Post‑registration study or professional development evidence.
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration – dietitian.
- Relevant additional training (e.g., Masters, leadership courses) or currently undertaking.
- Membership of BDA or comparable body providing professional insurance.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse formats and settings.
- Experience managing patients with complex medical needs in MDT settings.
- Teamwork skills and experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience training student dietitians or other allied health staff.
