SCHOOL OF COMPUTING, ENGINEERING& DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES Research Associate (MECRETE) Salary: £31,236 - £42,254 Full time (37 HPW) Fixed term for 36 months
Teesside University is seeking a Research Associate to support delivery of the EPSRC‑funded MECRETE project, which is advancing mechano‑chemical recycling technologies to enable low‑carbon valorisation of mineral and construction wastes. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high‑impact applied research with strong industrial and policy relevance.
The postholder will lead defined strands of laboratory and pilot‑scale experimental research, working closely with academic staff, a senior Research Technician and external partners. The role will involve designing and delivering experimental programmes, analysing and interpreting results, and contributing to project outputs including demonstrators, reports and publications.
Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for university sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
