Pathlab is a New Zealand-owned and operated diagnostic medical laboratory network providing pathology services (including blood testing, microbiology, histology, and biochemistry) across the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Lakes regions.A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a healthcare professional who collects, prepares, and analyzes patient samples (blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids) to help doctors diagnose and treat diseases. They work under the supervision of medical laboratory scientists and pathologists. Job Description Typical duties include:Collecting blood and other patient samplesLabeling and handling specimens correctlyPreparing slides and samples for testingPerforming laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and body fluidsTesting for bacteria, infections, and diseasesMatching blood for transfusionsOperating and maintaining laboratory equipmentRecording and reporting test resultsFollowing laboratory safety and quality-control proceduresProviding reassurance and care to patients during sample collectionPay: $6,000.00 – $8,170.00 per monthBenefits:
